Painting and writing as a way to externalize emotion, work through concepts, express complex human experiences
Jen's dynamic palette knife tree paintings are rich with texture, color, and movement, expressing not only the visual language of the forest but also themes of rootedness, growth, and human connection.
In her Poured Trees series, trees serve as powerful metaphors for family, breath, and the interconnectedness of life. Their branching forms mirror both roots systems and human anatomy blurring the line between landscape and self.
Many of Jenifer’s pieces incorporate original poetry and prose, sometimes visible, sometimes hidden within the layers, creating a nuanced dialogue between word and image, thought and emotion.
